In the world of wine, Piedmont is hallowed ground. It's the land of white truffles, porcini mushrooms and Barolo, the wine of Kings. Their wines are some of the most evocative, seductive, and just plain fascinating vinous expressions you'll find on terra firma.
We're beyond thrilled to announce that we have a Piedmontese wine dinner in the works for you. We'll be taking two top producers from the area and whisking you to the rolling hills of Piedmont for the evening. But these aren't just any producers...
In this corner, hailing from Santa Maria (a hamlet of La Morra), we have the wise veteran in the ring: Oddero. Founded in 1878, they are one of the oldest producers of Barolo, and have been making wine in their traditional style for over a century.
In the opposite corner, we have the young star on the rise: Gillardi. While they're known as one of the most prominent producers of Syrah in Italy, they've also honed their sights on producing some of the highest quality, cellar-worthy Dolcetto wines in Dogliani.
And we're stoked to say, that joining us for the evening to regale us with stories from their respective wineries will be Isabello Oddero and Giacolino Gillardi.
